Polyethylene is the most produced plastic worldwide. It’s a hugely versatile polymer, fit for a wide range of applications from heavy-duty damp proof membrane for new buildings to light, flexible bags and films. High density polyethylene (HDPE) is one of the two major types of polyethylene, the other being low density polyethylene (LDPE). HDPE is primarily used for milk containers, shampoo bottles, bleach bottles or motor oil bottles. It can also be used for flexible applications, like carrier bags. It is accepted at most recycling centers worldwide, as it is one of the easiest plastic polymers to recycle.
